Mile Nine of the Los Angeles River was my site for this project. It was adjacent to inaccessible, business, and residential locations. I felt the residential area had the greatest potential and was in need of the most attention. My goal was to make this area of the river a desirable place to live by and visit. My design was inspired by the 101 and 405 freeway system along my mile. I used the flow of the freeway and river as the foundation for my proposal. I applied color, texture, and the use of a space to create an intermingling of channels. They merge and overlap to imitate the flow of water.
